When I had the opportunity to create a wedding cake for a stunning styled shoot at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, I knew it would be something special. A Dreamy Wedding in the Gardens of Callanwolde
Nestled in the heart of Atlanta, Callanwolde provided the perfect backdrop for this November wedding shoot. The historic estate’s lush gardens and stately architecture set the stage for a timeless outdoor ceremony and reception. From golden autumn light filtering through the trees to intimate moments captured in the garden, the entire setting felt like a page from a storybook.
A Cake Designed for Romance
For this shoot, I wanted to craft a wedding cake that echoed the soft, romantic aesthetic of the day. I designed a three-tiered vintage-inspired cake, featuring buttercream piping details, delicate lace patterns, and soft pastel hues to complement the floral arrangements by @flowersbydaria. The subtle sage green and ivory palette paired beautifully with the reception tablescapes and the bride’s classic bridal style.
Details that Made the Wedding Shoot Shine
Every detail of this shoot was thoughtfully curated to bring the vision to life. The stunning tablescapes, featuring elegant tableware from @theprissyplatecompany and luxe linens from @nuagedesignsinc, created an inviting and refined reception setup. @youinluxe’s expert planning ensured that every piece worked together seamlessly.
The bride, played by @heyelisegarcia, looked breathtaking in a J. Andrews Bridal gown, with styling by @alejandra_updos and @lemoinelooks. The groom, @heychristiangarcia, brought classic sophistication in a sleek tux from @suitshopofficial.
The romantic aesthetic carried through every element—from @sydmakes’s elegant stationery and @mylestonepaper’s exquisite calligraphy to the dreamy floral installations lining the ceremony aisle and sweetheart table. Even the small details, like the vintage-inspired ring box from @the_mrs_box and delicate cookies by @sweetintentionscookies, added to the charm.
